Introducing the Wings of Hope Pendant.

This month is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. In the United States, 1 out of every 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage and 1 and every 160 pregnancies end in stillbirth. These numbers do not include infant death from preterm labor, diagnosis of life-limiting conditions, or SIDS.

I am 1 in 4. Two of my sisters are 1 in 4. I know and love far too many women who are 1 in 160. So this month, I wanted to do something different.

This foundation gives completely free support to families going through a loss and during a pregnancy after loss. I struggled a lot mentally after our miscarriage and with being pregnant again. PALS helped me so much in easing my mind and helping me understand that my feelings were 100% valid.

Butterflies are a huge piece of symbolism for me, and with my mom who also was 1 in 4. I remember sitting on our front porch just trying to take a breather, while in the middle of my miscarriage and seeing two beautiful butterflies land on our rose bushes. It was as if my mom and our baby were letting me know they were together.
